James K. Green: Of Counsel
Jim Green is a founding partner of Markusson Green & Jarvis. Jim has a well-rounded practice, spending a majority of his time doing insurance coverage work, but also focusing on commercial litigation, construction defect/contractor liability, employment claims defense, intellectual property and premises liability.
Jim met MGJ’s other two founding partners, Keith Jarvis and Dennis Markusson, during his time with Johns Manville, where his duties included the supervision, coordination and handling of the asbestos litigation pending against the company, as well as other major litigation.
Jim is licensed to practice law in Colorado, various United States District Court bars, and the United States Third, Tenth and Eleventh Circuit Courts.
Jim has served as the Vice-Chairman of several American Bar Association committees including the committee on Products Liability, General Liability and Consumer Law, Committee on Toxic and Hazardous Substances and Environmental Law.
His professional affiliations also include the American Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association including its Litigation Section, the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (CDLA), the Denver Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association, and the District of Columbia Bar Association.
