Mark is an associate attorney in Markusson, Green & Jarvis’s civil litigation and business law practice groups. Throughout his legal career, Mark has handled a variety of civil and commercial litigation issues, with an emphasis in defending premises liability, products liability, and construction related actions, and pursing insurance recovery and subrogation actions on behalf of insurers and self-insureds.
Prior to joining Markusson, Green & Jarvis, Mark practiced civil litigation for three years at Wiedner & McAuliffe, Ltd., a Chicago based civil litigation defense firm with a presence throughout the Midwest. While working at Wiedner & McAuliffe, Ltd., his practice included defending complex construction negligence claims as well as national products liability actions. Mark also clerked at Wiedner & McAuliffe, Ltd. for two years while in law school. Given his extensive experience in civil litigation as a law clerk and an attorney, Mark has developed strong analytical, communication, and writing skills. The thorough and calculated application of these skills has proved invaluable in his handling of complex and diverse legal matters from inception through final resolution.
During his legal career, Mark also volunteered at the Cook County Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation Program and advised program participants regarding their rights and responsibilities throughout mortgage foreclosure proceedings. He also worked for a law school professor as a legal research assistant. His research focused on the effect of consumer fraud statutes on mortgage loan disclosures and their policy implications.
